A group of talented fashion graduates have embarked on a very special project commissioned by Bentley in collaboration with Culted.

Fashion’s biggest night out, the Met Gala, returns on 5 May, welcoming stars, young creatives, and industry champions to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The annual haute couture fundraising festival has inspired an exciting competition that has been launched by our partnership with media company Culted and London’s Central Saint Martins college.

The new collaboration features talented young designers, highlighting their work and passion for fashion and art to inspire future generations. Five graduates from Central Saint Martins, the world-renowned arts and design college in London, are designing their own dream garment, inspired by this year’s Met Gala theme: ‘Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.’

From a closer look at the drawings, sketches and mood boards, to the triumphs and challenges of making the final piece, you’ll be able to step into the world of a designer and understand fully what it takes to bring their vision to life.

We’ve brought together a curated panel of industry figures to judge the work, including Wisdom Kaye, a model and fashion influencer who recently featured in the campaign for our newest launch, the Bentayga Atelier Edition, as well as Supriya Lele, a designer with an acclaimed eponymous fashion brand. A striking demonstration of the Bentley design team’s creative vision, the car incorporates an array of unique details and color schemes, with subtle yet stunning results.

The grand reveal of the winning putfit will be next month, when the final masterpiece and its designer will be showcased through a moment that shines a spotlight on them and their creation. After the event, the outfit will be displayed at CW1 House, Bentley’s flagship showroom located at our headquarters campus in Crewe, Cheshire in England.
